Very large tall antique pine 'welsh' kitchen dresser with big base having three double panelled doors below three drawers with original wooden knobs, and an open top with three shelves. Made around 1900 probably. The shelves have a recessed plate groove; there's a shaped cornice at the top and the sides of the upper part are also shaped. One long shelf inside the base; a replacement. Condition is fairly good structurally: it's solid and sound but there are some issues which we shall be working on (meantime it's cheaper!): the drawer sides are rather worn at the bottom; they work ok but need a jiggle, especially as someone has tried to replace the runners where they sit, not that well. We'll be remaking the bottom inch or so of the sides and re-doing the runners. There's a little split to repair on the base front (see pics..will repair). The back of the base has been remade, likewise the bottom of the shelf unit: there are grooves in the base where the top sat but now the top has "feet" which sit on the base. Slight gap at the back of the base top. Basically some mods over the years but so what.. :) The top comes off, obviously. The base could be used by itself. Cosmetically this piece has lots of wear commensurate with the age: various marks, scuffs, dings and scratches, all pretty much what you'd expect. Little bit of old woodworm; treated anyway.
